Biblical worldview in STEM
Amos Tarfa is a Medical Physicist and mathematics curriculum writer whose 12-year teaching journey has taken students from basic counting all the way through calculus — one mastered concept at a time.
Trained in the physical sciences, Amos brings the precision of a physicist to the classroom. He believes that mathematics is not merely a tool for calculation but a language through which the order and beauty of creation are revealed. His curriculum philosophy is shaped by the work of thinkers such as Dr. Stephen Meyer and Dr. John Lennox, who demonstrate that rigorous science and a Biblical worldview are not in conflict but are deeply complementary.
Every topic in the Counting to Calculus curriculum is taught with its historical context intact — students learn not only how to solve a problem but who first solved it and why it mattered. From Euclid's axiomatic geometry to Euler's identity, from Newton's fluxions to Ramanujan's notebooks, mathematics is presented as a living human story rather than a static set of rules.
Amos has taught students in Austin, Houston, and San Antonio, Texas, as well as in Jos and Abuja, Nigeria, Nairobi, Kenya, and Accra, Ghana. The Counting to Calculus platform was built to extend that same personalized, mastery-based instruction to every student worldwide — without requiring a human tutor to be in the room.
"Mathematics is the language in which God has written the universe."
